Dr. Bhattacharyya is a distinguished Professor at Shiv Nadar University (greater Noida, India) and the Founder of Nonlinear Insights, which operates in the space of online executive education in Business Management domain.

He obtained his D.Phil degree from the Allahabad University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Fellow of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA, UK). Dr. Bhattacharyya worked for 20 years in the leadership positions in industry after obtaining his professional qualification. He worked in academia for 28 years. He was a Professor in the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. He was also a professor at S. P. Jain Institute of Management Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai and a Technical Director/Director (CPE) in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was a Professor and Head of the School of Corporate Governance in the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in Manesar, Gurgaon. He was also a Group Mentor & Director of IMT, Ghaziabad and also taught corporate financial reporting, management accounting, business valuation and corporate governance.
